Company Details
How to update company identity, contact information, logo, company size, and staff employment types in WorkClock HQ.
Company Details
Use Company Details to maintain the identity and basic profile of your workspace.
Open it from Company Settings > Company Details, or go to /company-settings?tab=details.
What You See On The Screen
The Company Details tab is the first tab in Company Settings. It displays a two-column form:
- Field labels appear on the left.
- Input fields, selectors, and logo controls appear on the right.
- The active Company Details tab is highlighted in the tab bar.
- The Save button appears near the bottom for users who have permission to update organization settings.
On this screen, administrators can review the current organization identity before configuring deeper attendance rules such as locations, schedules, holidays, and security.

Field-By-Field Guidance
Company Name
Use the name staff and administrators will recognize. This appears as the organization name inside the workspace.
Business Email Address
Use a monitored email address, preferably a company support, HR, operations, or admin inbox. Avoid using a personal email if multiple administrators manage the workspace.
Company Phone Number
Use the official company phone number. Include the correct country code so the number is stored consistently.
Company Logo
The logo visually identifies the workspace. Use Update to replace it and Delete to remove it from the form. After changing the logo, save the page.
Organization Type
This field is read-only in Company Settings. It reflects the organization type selected during onboarding.
Company Size
Choose the workforce size range closest to the current organization. Keep it updated as the company grows because it helps administrators understand workspace scale.
Staff Employment Type
Select all employment structures used by the organization. This field is especially important because it affects schedule and shift behavior across the app.
Staff Employment Types
Staff employment types are important because they affect which schedules and tabs are available.
- Non-shift employment types are used in the Schedule tab.
- Shift-based employment types enable the Shift workflow for shift schedules, sessions, and rosters.
- The employee creation form uses employment type to decide whether a normal schedule or shift roster process applies.
Important Notes
- Organization Type is displayed but cannot be changed from this tab.
- If you remove the shift-based employment type, shift-specific setup may no longer be available from Company Settings.
- Keep the business email and phone number current because they identify the workspace in administrative records.
- After changing staff employment types, review your schedules and employees to confirm they still match the intended setup.
How To Add Shift-Based Operations
- Open Company Settings > Company Details.
- Find Staff employment type.
- Select the shift-based employment type from the multi-select list.
- Click Save.
- Return to Company Settings and open the Shift area.

What happens if I change staff employment types after employees already exist?
